"My original review was about the delivery process, none of which was the company's fault, it was down to Royal Mail in the UK. The equipment is very substantial for relatively small speakers and despite having some trouble with my ARC control on the TV HDMI socket ( it only worked in and not out) the unit connected perfectly with the optical cable. connection via the unit to the speakers was seamless, the sub woofer not working was down to the delivered item being set to wired and not wireless, once the switch was flicked everything works fine, indeed having heared the sound without the sub and then with it, the sub definitely packs sufficient punch for the room its located in. The room i have the system in is quite small 7m by 5m and within this area i have to say that the sound is terrific, and i am very pleased with the equipment. Main use is currently for surround sound music via blu ray remastered audio and its 5 stars from me. Well worth the money, definitely would recommend to others."

From a high end soundbar to Milan 5. 1

"I switched from my old Sony HT-ST5000 high-end (at launch time) Dolby Atmos sondbar to a Platin Audio Monaco 5. 1 + 2 x Platin Milan 2. 0 used as up speakers in a 5. 1. 2 setup. The sound quality, even for music, is night and day from my old Sony soundbar. As my Bravia KDL-A8 OLED TV does not have eArc support, I'm using a FeinTech AX340 HDMI 2. 1 eARC Pass Switch to select one of the four HDMI sources: a Sony Bluray Player, a Google Chromecast Ultra 4K, a Fire TV Stcik 4k Max and a Zidoo Z20 Media Player. The TV is connected to the switch through the eArc HDMI output and second eArc output is connected to the WiSA SoundSend. Optical input from the WiSA SoundSend is connected to a WiiM Pro Plus audio streamer. Analog input from the streamer is connected to my trusted vintage audio rack, containing only Sony ES components. Even the vintage CD, turntable and tape players sounds better through the Platin Audio system comparing with 2 Wharfedale floorstand speakers. I am very happy with my new setup. Platin Audio is an excellent and extremely easy to setup solution for the price."

Makes all other systems sound terrible

"I can't count the number of times I have turned around to hear the person screaming behind me or slamming a door behind me and laughed. I still haven't gotten used to the fact that sound is all around me. It made watching the House of Dragons so much better! TV sound is crap. Soundbars slightly fill that gap, but the Monaco is so far superior. You can use the app to change all sorts of settings, like your subwoofer's sound. But your regular old TV remote works just fine. We first plugged this into our Samsung. And recently swapped that out for an LG TV. All you do is plug the soundsend hockey puck device into your HDMI port. And you are good to go. Easier than any other system on the market. I wish the company sold speaker wall mounts. That's the only thing they could improve."

"Everything about the Platin Monaco 5.1 Wireless Surround Sound System shouts "convenience". It has replaced our dust-covered rat's nest of wires hiding behind our receiver. But then you hear it and your mind moves on to "Darn, this sounds good!" And that's always a good place for the mind-and ears-to go."

Outstanding!

"Our 15-year old traditional stereo system (receiver, 2 front satellite speakers, sub-woofer) quit, so I began looking for a replacement. We mainly watch movies and listen to music via Apple TV 4k, and broadcast tv on the Tablo (another great device) app on the Apple TV. Going with a new amp and decent speakers seemed expensive, and if I went with wired speakers I'd have to engineer that. This package, with each speaker being wireless and amplified, doesn't need the amplifier or wires. It took more time to unpack (my wife was really impressed with the all-recyclable pkg) than to get going. We first set up on a tv using its optical output - sounded fantastic, but we could control volume only through the SoundSend app. I swapped out to a tv with an arc hdmi port, and we could also use the remote to control volume. It will fill a room with sound, excellent bass, and even simulates an excellent "surround sound" experience on old NYPD Blues shows. The sound is great to us, but of course it probably wouldn't be perfect for a high-end audiophile. One tip for setup that it took us a few minutes to figure out. The instructions say to make sure Bluetooth is on the smartphone or pad running SoundSend. I had Bluetooth on, but I needed to go into Settings (iOS), scroll down to SoundSend, and then toggle on the app's access to Bluetooth. Boom! We love it, great value!"
