What is the Optimal Crossover Setting for My System?
When it comes to the "low rolloff frequency," the ideal setting often comes down to personal preference. However, to help you get the best performance out of your Platin WiSA HT Surround Hub X and Monaco speakers, we recommend the following guidelines:
1. A Great Starting Point
For Monaco speakers, setting the crossover to 80Hz is a solid baseline. This is a tried-and-true setting that we frequently recommend to our users as a starting point.
2. Advanced Settings for All-Satellite Setups (Recommended)
If your setup consists entirely of Monaco satellite speakers, we suggest trying a slightly different configuration:
- Highpass: 70Hz
- Lowpass: 90Hz
Why do we recommend this? Our development team has found that creating a slight frequency overlap between the highpass and lowpass settings results in a smoother, more natural audio transition. This specific configuration has proven highly successful for the Monaco lineup.
3. Crucial Subwoofer Setting
Regardless of how you adjust your satellite speakers, there is one strict rule for the subwoofer: The LFE (Low-Frequency Effects) channel must always be set to FLAT. This ensures your system accurately reproduces the deep, uncompromised bass intended for your movies and music.
