Unleash Spotify Lossless: A Perfect Match with Platin Audio's WiSA Hubs
The wait is over! As announced on September 10, 2025, Spotify has officially begun rolling out Lossless audio to its Premium subscribers. This is a landmark moment for music lovers, promising a richer, more detailed listening experience that mirrors the original studio recording.
But to truly appreciate the depth and clarity of lossless audio, you need equipment that can handle the high-quality signal without compromise. That's where Platin Audio comes in. We are excited to confirm that our WiSA-certified hubs are perfectly equipped to bring the studio-quality sound of Spotify Lossless directly to your home audio system.
What is Spotify Lossless? Why Does It Matter?
In simple terms, standard streaming uses compression (like MP3 or AAC) to reduce file sizes, which can sacrifice some audio detail. Spotify Lossless uses a compression-free format (FLAC) that preserves every bit of data from the original source.
This means you hear the music exactly as the artist intended, with:
Exceptional Clarity: Hear subtle nuances like the intake of a breath or the scrape of a guitar pick.
Wider Soundstage: Experience a more realistic and immersive sense of space and instrument separation.
Pure, Unaltered Sound: With Lossless, you can now stream tracks in up to 24-bit/44.1 kHz FLAC, unlocking greater detail across nearly every song available on Spotify.
The Perfect Partners for Spotify Lossless: Platin Audio WiSA Hubs

The following Platin Audio products are ideally suited to take full advantage of Spotify Lossless, thanks to their support for high-resolution audio and robust, interference-free wireless transmission via the WiSA standard.
My Old Platin Stereo Hub Supports Spotify lossless?
The short and honest answer for now is, that we do not know for sure. We are working closely with the supplier of the streaming chipset now, to know if there can be found a way for us to migrate the latest Spotify Connect software to the streaming chipset - and so far we did not get a positive response for this. As some may know - some time ago we had to turn down Tidal Connect support in this device, due to insufficient resources to add more libraries to the chipset. So, we know we are running on the edge of what can be done with this chipset.
We are not leaving any users behind in bad faith, but we also need to realize, that the chipset was developed 10 years ago, to match the requirements of streaming services back then. We have tried to keep up as good as we could, but todays streaming is a completely different story - and things take up a lot more resources than back then.
